Inter-provincial T20: Paktia qualifies for the quarter finals from group A

Paktia provincial team has qualified for the quarter finals of Afghanistan Inter-provincial T20 trophy after winning two consecutive matches in its group A against Parwan, Zabul.

Inter-provincial T20 trophy has kicked off on Sunday in Kabul. Paktian and Parwan played the first match. All matches are televised live on Shamshad TV that can be seen in all 34 provinces by the mass public through land antenna and abroad through satellite.

Twenty four provinces contest in the trophy at the Youth Stadium in Kabul.

Paktai Zabul Parwan One team qualifies for the quarter finals

Paktia v Parwan

Parwan won the toss and chose to bat first. Parwan scored 118 in 20 overs for losing all 10 wickets. Paktia reached the 119 target in 16th over for losing 4 wickets. Paktia captain Fazal Niazi scored 67 runs not out.

Zabul v Parwan

The match was reduced to 17 overs due to time limits. Zabul won the toss and elected to bat first. Zabul scored 161 runs in 17 overs for losing 7 wickets. Zabul could not chase the target and lost all wickets for 127 runs in 17th over.

Zabul v Paktia

Paktia won the toss and invited Zabul to bat first. Zabul scored 107 runs in 18 overs for losing all wickets. Paktia chased the target of 108 in 19th over for losing 3 wickets. Captain Fazal Niazi scored 30 runs and took 3 wickets.
